The outpouring of support from our community during the COVID-19 pandemic inspired us to keep our annual events running in 2020. So this year, to ensure the health and safety of our participants, we’re shifting to a virtual format for Ride for Health and Strides for Stroke, and making modifications to Tee Off for Health. We’re more motivated than ever to make this year’s event experiences the best they can be — because the need for support has never been greater as we continue to build and equip Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital and enhance care at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital. Let’s help raise funds to benefit Mackenzie Health because we’re in this together even when apart.
Check back soon for updates on our gala.
Tee Off for Health
Mackenzie Health Foundation’s 25th annual Tee Off for Health, previously known as the Proud Partners Classic, is an exclusive golf and fundraising event to benefit Mackenzie Health.
This year, the tournament will include modifications that allow us to implement physical distancing and follow other protocols outlined by the Ministry of Health. But you can rest assured, the day will be memorable with on-course activities, tasting stations, a boxed lunch, an online silent auction, an exciting golfer gift and more.
Since 1995, our golf event has raised more than $2.7 million towards critical health care programs and urgently needed equipment. Thanks to the ongoing generosity of our Tee Off for Health supporters, we can continue to provide the ultimate in health care to patients and families, close to home.
Ride for Health
Ride for Health is an exclusive cycling and fundraising event — reimagined as a virtual event for 2020 — in support of Mackenzie Health.
On Sunday, October 4, you can complete a 25/60/100K ride on your own from any location you choose, while staying connected through some friendly mobile race-day competition. We’ll also be sharing a pre-race opening ceremony video that you can watch from wherever you are.
Last year, thanks to our supporters, Ride for Health raised a record-breaking $360,000. And since the event’s inception in 2015, it has raised $1 million towards lifesaving equipment, technology advancements and other critical hospital upgrades. It’s up to our community to make sure we can continue to fund the tools, programs and systems our patients rely on. That’s why we need your support this year.

UniversalCare Strides for Stroke
Strides for Stroke is a community fundraiser and 5K run/walk with an incredible 15-year history, and for first time ever, we’re going virtual so we can still support stroke care at Mackenzie Health.
On Saturday, October 17, join us to run/walk your own virtual 5K from any location, whether indoors or outdoors, at a pace you feel comfortable with. That morning, you can also tune in to our live virtual opening ceremony, featuring inspiring speakers, an energizing warm-up and more.
Since 2006, Strides for Stroke has raised more than $2 million, helping to fund education programs, technology upgrades and lifesaving equipment for those affected by stroke. And now, we need your support more than ever to transform stroke care at the Sorbara District Stroke Centre for York Region and the Sorbara Integrated Stroke Unit at the new Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. Sign up for Strides for Stroke and help us deliver the ultimate in stroke care to thousands of people in our community.
