Aeroplan’s Charitable Pooling Program focuses on supporting organizations and individuals who want to improve the lives of people in their local communities. The charitable pooling option is meant to extend that philosophy to a local level, where charitable community efforts are aimed at enriching and improving community life. Using a pool of donated Aeroplan Miles, the charity may redeem within the Aeroplan Program, for example, for travel, car rental, hotel stays and merchandise. The donated Aeroplan Miles may also be used as prizes for fundraising, as may items obtained through redemption of donated miles within the Aeroplan Program, such as flat screen TVs and gift certificates.
