A long-standing friend and partner of Mackenzie Health, Islamic Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaat of Toronto (Jaffari Islamic Centre) has been busy educating and engaging the community to inspire philanthropic support of Mackenzie Health.

A month after more than 25 of the group’s members participated in our 11th annual Richview Manor’s Strides for Stroke in May 2016, the Jaffari Islamic Centre hosted a barbecue to help raise awareness of the Exceptional Care Belongs Here campaign.

The spirit and commitment to philanthropy and volunteerism of the Islamic Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaat of Toronto was felt by all at the barbecue, especially with their announcement of a $250,000 pledge to the campaign to help build and equip Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital.
